My RedState post on the Maryland Democratic Senate primary is up.

Found here. Short version: there’s going to be one heck of a slap fight over the primary. And I figure that minority Democrats will end up being the ones taking it on the chin. Again.

  1. What happened to Artur Davis was this . Davis actually thought he could be a governor for all of Alabama , not R or D , not black or white . When he tried to sell that to the black establishment in B’ham , Jefferson Co and the other black districts , the black leadership revolted and endorsed the white guy . The white guy’s principal , only , strength was that as sec’y of state , his name was on every gas pump in the state , weights and measures doncha know . The black ‘community ‘ had their hands in the piggy bank and were not gonna stand for some do gooder reform guy . Davis was sold out by the black legislators , the black ministers and the rest of the black ‘community’ , his own people , as it were .

    1. “Man, your name’s on every gas pump in the state!”
