My fortunately not-prescient RedState post on tonight’s speech is up.

Found here. Short version: …eh, Barack Obama wimped out and didn’t promise any Executive Orders overturning the 2nd Amendment. Guess that means we won’t have to arrest a chunk of the federal government for sedition in 2017 after all.

  1. I can think of many arms of the executive branch wherein much of the staff would be given the “Speak now, or face a decade in court without the slightest chance of a pension” speech upon my accession to the Presidency.

  2. Barack Obama wimped out and didn’t promise any Executive Orders overturning the 2nd Amendment.

Now that he hasn’t announced it, he’ll just try to do it.

Someone should ask him whether Senator Edward Moore Kennedy was a potential terrorist, since he was on the no-fly list. I don’t expect any of our JournoListas to ask that question, though.

    1. Umm.. I understand this has already been done .. as in, if you apply for a FOID card or have a card and buy a firearm, and you’re on the no-fly list, the Fed piece of the FOID or sales approval gets kicked to whatever agency added your name to the list to approve…

This .. might explain why he “wimped out” ..
