Book of the Week: The Invisible Library (cc @GenevieveCogman).

Blipping well TOOK the Post Office long enough to get me Genevieve Cogman’s first novel The Invisible Library; mind you, I had to special-order the sucker from England. You would think that, in these halcyon days of digital inter-connectivity, we could dispense with the ridiculous notion that the British and American editions of a book cannot be published simultaneously. You would be wrong.

Anyway, I’m going to go back to reading The Invisible Library now. Pre-order it. It’s a book about, well, secret Librarians. Alternate history. It’s written by someone who I will concede is a better writer. Why are you still here?

And so, adieu to The Winter of the World.

    1. So far? It’s quite nice. Would people be interested in me doing a phone interview with the author, or me doing author interviews in general?

      1. I would appreciate a bit of ‘like X’ or ‘if you like Y and Z’…

I picked up the Peter Grant’s Surreal London Travelogue on your recommendation, and enjoyed it, but I am aware our tastes do differ, so “Moe liked” isn’t a 100% guarantee…
