Look, go vote today if it’s Primary Day in your state. Then go do something else.

Seriously: go do something else.  It is almost certainly too late to do anything that will meaningfully change the results tonight and you’re better off getting things done. I myself have a SCA award scroll of my wife’s that needs framing, so I’m off to the Hobby Lobby even as we speak.

Go! Shoo.

  1. I just got back from voting – anecdotally, my area is about 50/50, it’s one of the few areas in Austin that actually elects Republicans occasionally, and the line at the Republican table was about 4x that of the Democratic one.

Now I think I shall make blueberry jam.

    1. Over in Mass, the Dems have been de-registering themselves in droves since January. My caucus is Sat, if anything still matters at that point.

I’m going out for sushi myself.

      1. I have a friend who lives in Massachusetts who requested a Republican absentee ballot specifically so he could vote against Trump. He chose to vote for Cruz because Cruz is the only one who has beaten Trump anywhere.

  2. I really do wish I had a say in my state. This is the first time my vote could’ve made a difference in a very long time.

  3. Maybe this will be the day I finally start playing the Bioshock Infinite DLCs.

    1. Post-9/11, I found that waxing terrorists in Rainbow 6 to be therapeutic…

  4. Working on job applications, reviewing movies, and taking care of sundry little chores. And doing a rewatch of Daredevil, to prepare for Season 2.

  5. Walking out the polling place I thanked the fellow handing out stickers , thanked him for his effort .He said “It’s a privilege” He was black guy about 70 or so . And this is in Alabama . So no it’s not a privilege , it’s a right , hard won , and an obligation and one people won’t take seriously until you lose it or never had it . I’m going out now to finish planting the roses . Supposed to be a big rain tonight which will do the roses good and wash away the stink of the primary circus .

    1. Yup…me too…planting roses, raspberries,and a couple more fruit trees.

Job done, I popped a cold one, kicked back and watched geese flying north for a while.

  6. just got back from voting for Ted Cruz (in Texas). line was fairly long (probably the longest line I’ve ever had to wait in to vote, though YMMV and it probably does), though I don’t know for sure which party was more numerous (I expect the Democrats though because they typically are at my precinct; they certainly had more signs, but that’s the one thing Democrats are good at, the lady in front of me had a Democrat sample ballot, and at least 2 people in line after me requested Democrat ballots, though I didn’t pay attention to everyone)

  7. Still wearing my I’m a Georgia voter peach sticker. Started reading a new to me Kelley Armstrong thriller series with Exit Strategy, featuring hit woman Nadia Stafford. oh, and white wine.
