Looks like I’m going to have to reconfigure posting practices again.

Traffic’s down here, which is ironic because traffic is going well for me on RedState right now. Which is great, but if this site has to permanently go into full no-politics mode later this year it’s also irrelevant. I may need to start cross-posting again; I’ve already switched back on the site’s auto-population of my Twitter account, which might help.  I should really read a book on this topic, or something…

    1. I am hopeful that on this Ides of March that a Senator from Texas will be able to stop a wannabe Ceasar

  1. if you’re religious, please pray your little hearts out that the right thing happens.

    1. The right thing would have been freely chosen a long time ago. We’re looking for the least bad thing, and hopefully enough character to see it through.
      .
On the bright side, there’s always the Serenity Prayer.

  2. Does it count collation? I think that’s the right term; anyway, I read you mostly through feedly.

  3. Just a guess, but did the traffic falloff have any correllation with when you starting posting anti-Trump screeds?

Another reason to keep politics and religion discussions toned way down. Whichever way you lean, 1/2 to 3/4 of other people disagree with you. As the line in the great movie goes, “Never go full [REDACTED].”

Worse, if you get too far out, even people who agree on your preferred candidate will get turned off by full-bore vitriol. There’s a lot of people and web sites that got trimmed off my list, just because of this. NRO, of course. What says, “come let us reason together” like an entire issue devoted to Against Trump. Wouldn’t have mattered if it was Cruz or Rubio or Jeb, either. Just the invective is disqusting.

People I used to read every day got dropped because they were anti-Trump all the time in every post. Not to mention calling Trump supporters stupid and racist and evil. Sigh.

And today comes Max Boot, who would vote for Stalin over Trump. Way to discredit yourself.

    1. Three things on this:

1). My public and completely justified loathing of Donald Trump probably contributed to it to a small degree, but I suspect that no longer auto-populating my Twitter account and/or cross-posting political posts from RedState contributed significantly more. I’ve reversed the former; if traffic picks up, I’ll probably reverse the latter.
2). You will note that a certain word has been redacted. That is a direct-to-trash word. Don’t use it.
3). I am afraid that your future comments will be held and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
