Hell of a thing to see before you even have your first cup of coffee, let me tell you.

  1. In the recent cartoon series, Aunt May was the younger, hip sister of Peter Parker’s deceased parent. (Also, the whole poverty thing went away.)
    .
Looks like they’re going to keep with the theme. Expect Aunt May to be listening to her iPod while doing yoga.

    1. Also, Marisa Tomei was in fact born in 1964, and I seem to recall that MCU Spidey is supposed to be still in high school in his first appearance.

        1. Sally Field getting old and playing Aunt May took a bit to get used also. I always think of her from Smokey and the Bandit from my youth. Marisa just means I am now old also, my joints tell me that already every morning.

          1. Sally Field playing Mary Lincoln took getting used to. And what about Wynona Ryder playing Spock’s mom?

  2. *checks calendar* Nope. Not the 1st of April anymore.
    .
To be fair, even bombshell actresses have to mature at some point. Surprisingly few of them do so gracefully, so if Tomei can pull this off, more power to her.

  3. One of the many, many things I like about my husband is that he collects vintage guitars. They are ALL older than I am. Now, yes, he has had a couple of new ones custom made. But they just don’t “sing” the same! LOL
