The “Star Trek” series teaser trailer.

…which tells us NOTHING.

Unless the scratches are significant in some way. And perhaps they are.  …God, this is like Kremlinology all over again.

I will be interested when I don’t have to sign up for their streaming service to watch it.

That depends on how you view “Have to” in relation to copyright law, not that anyone here condones such things.
I’d be more interested if paid views guarateed an add-free experience. Direct-sell or advertise: Don’t try soaking me coming and going.

There was that nice call out to the original Alexander Courage theme song.

Which means maybe more like the original series? To me that means at least some really and truly SF plot lines, as well as more action and less gabbing (looking at you, Next Generation).

I’ll almost certainly watch the pilot, but honestly I haven’t watched any episodic TV since House got cancelled, so I’m not sure how long I’ll follow along even if it’s not awful.

That partially exploded planet seemed like a Praxis call-back, so must be partly set after TOS. Which I guess was mentioned elsewhere already…

  • cuscutis says:

Also, the Star Trek chevron is broken in two, but a clean break.

  • Herp McDerp says:

Good grief, but that’s an ugly typeface.
