  1. Hey, humor to break the tension, characters with entertaining idiosyncrasies, bad puns, and oblique references to history or pop culture, those I’m all over. Plus, the “goblin luck” GURPS rule is one of the best game aids there is.
    .
    But running a campaign on the Rule of Funny is outside my wheelhouse. For me, chains of consequences can be far-fetched, but they have to be logical. (Also, the dichotomy of a silly situation with potentially severe consequences is lots of fun to play with. And players will regularly put themselves in those spots without needing any help from me!)
