‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ ALMOST looks pretty enough to justify a PS4.

Not that I’m going to get a PS4 simply for one game.

Or, indeed, get a PS4 at all. I can’t seem to figure out how to schedule videogame time for myself on anything else except the PC.  This would be just another game I wouldn’t play and that my kids would eventually play in a few years. Which is not such a bad thing, of course – but a man’s got to know his limitations.

  1. Well based on the trailer I got a pretty good idea where the main character came from. I could be wrong though.

  2. It is pretty and I am a huge fan of post apocalyptic ruins. However, this is giving me shades of a cross between Avatar and the ending of the Battlestar Galactica reboot.

  3. I wonder how far you have to get in the game before you get your Pip-Boy. I was kind of hoping that when she opened that vault, a guy in a blue jumpsuit would be standing there saying, “Where have you been? You never took the GOAT!”

  4. The one that would eat my life is No Man’s Sky.
An entire persistent galaxy to explore? Yes, please.

  5. I am getting excited. Back around the time Witcher 3 came out I was in Atlanta visiting family. I was away from my PC and just couldn’t stand it so I bought a PS4. Let me tell you that switching to a controller after gaming on a PC for about 30 years was just a tad frustrating. Fortunately, being a mature adult and all, I managed to resist my first impulse and just got drunk instead. It’s been sitting over in the corner since then, taunting me. I just might turn the sucker on to play this game. I’m a bit older and wiser now. I’ll start drinking before I try.

P.s., Moe, I’m glad you’re over at PJ now. Those guys over at Red State have pretty much lost it.
