“Punching the Time Clock” represents my kinder, gentler take on Larry Niven’s argument that there’s no such thing as time travel because the universe ruthlessly destroys anybody who tries to make a time machine. I figure, why go full anthropic principle? You can explain things with a mere Invisible Hand.
