There are a bunch of animal activists going off on this story, and you know something? I’m inclined to let them. This was just a Dumb Idea. I mean, it’s not like jaguars are cheetahs:
A jaguar that was part of an Olympic torch relay event on Monday was shot and killed after the cat escaped its handlers, the Brazilian army said in a statement.

Jaguars are not pets. Jaguars are not tame. Jaguars are not domesticated. Jaguars are, in fact, wild animals, carnivores, and large cats. Next time, jsut have the guy run past the jaguar enclosure or something.
