Time for the kids to go out, and the kids to arrive. It’s just the right temperature for trick-or-treating, ghosting through the neighborhood… and adding just a tot of whiskey to your coffee as you contemplate the gathering, friendly dusk. Mom gets to take the kids out, Dad gets to hand out the candy, the kids get more into this every year.
It’s all good.
The first trick-or-treaters arrived at my house at 4:30pm, more than 2 hours before sundown.
