A Wrinkle in Time out in April 2018.

April 6, 2018, to be precise.  Disney did this Mannequin Challenge thing to reveal the date; clearly, filming has started.

OK, just to make this clear: I really, really need for this movie to not suck. A Wrinkle In Time was one of the books of my childhood. When my parents started realizing that I was into science fiction and fantasy and so forth they got me this book, among others. I loved it, I remain fond of it, and if Disney… :deep breath: …if Disney messes this up I will become cross.

  1. Signs… signs aren’t good thus far. Everything pre-release has had a distinct socio-political agenda-bent.

Why can’t they just play it straight?

  2. An interesting effect, but honestly kinda boring after the first 30 seconds or so.

I mean, was I supposed to know who all those people were or something?

    1. Presumably it was the crew: camera people, caterers, etc.

Can we nail a Steadicam to the hands of the person who filmed that? I lasted about 5 seconds before I started skipping forward.
