The Pros and Cons of the new Baywatch movie.

Cons: They decided to make a Baywatch movie.  Somebody decided that this is what the world needs, or possibly just deserves.

Pros: They’ve apparently decided to make it R-rated.  Which pretty much guarantees people getting naked.  Unless they, I don’t know, decide to have a Chainsaw Beach Killer or do a Sharknado homage or just repeat dirty words until the review board signs off on the R rating… but, yeah, this is going to be the dream flick of all those millions who happened to hit puberty at the same time that Baywatch was on the air, or in syndication.

PS: Look, I’d rather be obsessively watching the new Spider-Man trailer that was supposed to drop today, too.  FUNNY THING ABOUT THAT.

  1. “We need a hit. Something guaranteed to pack them in.”
“Hey boss, I know something guaranteed to appeal to the male 15-25 age bracket!”
“Superheroes and giant robots have been done to death. They’re too expensive, and not guaranteed to be profitable.”
“Not where I was going with this, boss. Picture this.” He strikes a dramatic pose, “slo-mo bouncing boobies!”
“That…” he trailed off. “Just might work! But we need something the girls will be willing to see on a date go guarantee a hit.”
“OK, boss, I tell you what. We get Dwayne Johnson, keep him mostly naked, and have him rescue a damsel in distress every half hour or so.
“Genius! I’ll send this proposal upstairs for approval!”
    Later…
“I’ve got good news, and bad news. The good news, is that they accepted the proposal with no modifications. I don’t need to tell you gentlemen how rate that is.”
    “Well, what’s the bad news?”
“There’s a piece of IP the company has that they’d like to reboot…”

    1. It could work. Dwayne Johnson & Co. do more ham than soap for better or for worse.

Doesn’t the R rating still have a hair trigger on spoken F-bombs**? Could just be that with out the skin or gore. [dammit……er, no, bad NickLevi86. BAD!] Ahem Thank goodness it could only be language…..?
