So, there’s the new Mass Effect: Andromeda character has been announced.

Name of Jaal. He kind of looks like a space squid-cat, only all noble-like and such. …And I cannot find a single story about the character that doesn’t eventually lead into the awkward fact that hordes of Bioware fans are already trying to figure out how to have their Mass Effect: Andromeda characters have sex with him. Hell, some aren’t even bothering with ‘eventually lead:’ it’s all about the alien sexing and the players who sex ’em, right from the start.

I’d be upset at this characterization of people who play Bioware games, except… well, it’s fair.  Bioware fans demand heaping plates of relationship drama the way that Bethesda fans demand painful lifepath choices. It’s just one of those things, you know?

  1. I got so annoyed with that in the first ME.
I wanted to learn about my troops and keep an eye on how they were holding up under the stress of saving the galaxy, but all this unethical fraternization just kept popping up from benign looking queries on the conversation wheel!

    1. Haven’t watched the YouTube link, but…

Keep in mind that what you see isn’t necessarily what’s in the game. Bioware released a lot of in-game video previews for the first Mass Effect with scenes (including conversations) that never actually occurred within the game.
