Got the DVD player to talk to the monitor.

So, they told me Moe, just buy a new DVD player that can be hooked up to the monitor.  And I said I’ll chase it round YouTube, and round the ‘Zone, and round planned obsolescence, and round Perdition’s FLAMES before I give it up. …Well, the DVD player to monitor setup finally works.  No remote and I’m probably never finding it, but, dammit, I got it to work well enough for what I wanted it for.
