RIP, Chuck Berry.

Chuck Berry was 90 years old, which is a good, solid run for a man.  And, of course, he was rock and roll. Listen to this one, and hear… well, everybody else… in it.

My condolences and prayers for his family and loved ones.

  1. Probably the first cover of “Route 66” for most of us, and while Moe’s picks are on fleek as usual, I’d add “Johnny B. Goode”, “Run Rudolph Run” (often covered as “Run Run Rudolph”), “Promised Land” (the Elvis cover crops up in Men In Black) and .. just so many ..

A true pioneer, sad to hear he’s gone.

    1. Look, it’s not that I don’t love Johnny B. Goode. But everybody was going with Johnny B. Goode. Johhny B. Goode was, heh, covered. 🙂 But there was so much more that he did. It’s like what somebody once said about Harold Ramis: when Stripes was your sixth-funniest movie, it’s safe to say that you were a genius.

      1. Agreed, and while we all know the “Route 66” cover, it wasn’t uniquely his, and it’s the wrong season for Rudolph.
