It’s an Australian flick, and there’s no real easy way to say ‘The production values look good enough for Hollywood’ without at least subtly insulting the Australian film industry. Which is unfair: obviously, the Australian film industry is capable of putting together something like The Osiris Child. What we can see of it so far appeals:
There’s currently no American distribution plan for this film yet, which is not only a shame; it’s deeply weird. The consensus review for this movie is that it’s a fun throwback to the 80s and 90s popcorn sci-fi flicks we all watched and enjoyed. It should be a trivial exercise for The Osiris Child to make enough in American theaters to justify a distribution deal. Particularly since it was apparently filmed on a low budget…
