so, I discovered Bowling for Soup today.

Assuming I have the budget for one Bowling for Soup album, which one should it be?  Note that I played Ohio (Come Back To Texas) three times running, and it’s going to be the song tonight, so there’s that. But I’ve liked the three or four other things I’ve listened to since then.  The band seems refreshingly chill about stuff.

You know what? Doesn’t matter. The most obvious answer from me would be “A Hangover You Don’t Deserve” which not only contains “Ohio” but also an actual radio hit “1985” and “Almost.” However you can also make a case for “Drunk Enough to Dance” which has “Girl All the Bad Guys Want”, “Punk Rock 101”, “Life After Lisa”, “She’s Got a Boyfriend Now” and a personal favorite, “Surf Colorado.” My personal favorite is “Bowling for Soup Goes to the Movies”, which is all cover songs. But good covers. What else? “Burrito” has “Epiphany”,”Val Kilmer” and “High School Never Ends.” “Fishing for Woos” has “I’ve Never Done Anything Like This” and “Here’s Your Freakin’ Song”, which I still am amused by. They also have a good cover of “I’m Awesome”, but the Dollrot’s original version is better IMHO.

Oh, and Phineas and Ferb, of course. Jarret is also the lead singer for “Love Händel” and still puts out stuff like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jy4PbtPJuJU

    1. Look, there is a finite amount of time in the universe, OK? NOBODY is going to be able to find *all* the Good Stuff on his or her own. 🙂

      1. Yeah, that came across differently in text that it sounded in my head. My apologies.

  2. Not for nothing, a fair number of their albums are stream-able for free through the Amazon Music box if you have Amazon Prime.
