The Honest Trailers people liked it, at least. Reviews in general seem invariably positive. I was sold on Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman as soon as I saw her performance in Batman v. Superman. Perhaps… perhaps It Will Not Suck.
Please, God: don’t let it suck.
She was the best thing in that movie. Although I don’t know why everyone is so down on BvS? It’s a Batman movie with Superman in it in terms of tone. Shades of Batman Returns in which we got a Batman who’s been doing it for too long.
Because there was just enough Dark Knight Returns in it to make me want a proper version of it, maybe? I mean, I didn’t HATE BvS, but its Superman was a bit off. As usual for live-action portrayals of the character, lately.
But Superman was off, because he was off in the first Superman movie. Batman and WW were what saved BvS from sucking wholesale and made it a decent movie.
