This Batman v. Superman clip makes me want to play Arkham City again.

Even though I could never finish the last boss battle.  Maybe if I started over, and learned how to fight properly in Arkham City?  It’s a thought…

  1. I…
Don’t even remember the final battle of Arkham City.

    I loved Arkham Asylum.
But the sequel was forgettable. The Solomon Grundy build up and reveal was great. Other than that… Meh.
Not to mention that the plot insulted my intelligence. Pro-tip: if you have to flashback to how things “really” happened, you’ve botched the story. Especially in a game where the player has agency and can do obvious things like opening a safe without turning his back to the door. And who would reasonably expect to notice little things like regaining consciousness on the floor.

    1. The final battle is Batman against Clayface. And while Arkham Asylum is a better self-contained story, Arkham City is a far richer experience, and (I would argue) a better overall game.

Then again, I seemed to be one of the twelve people on Earth who actually thought Arkham Origins held up well to a replay.

      1. My biggest complaint with Origins was fatigue with a certain villain who is integral to the story, but whose presence is a big spoiler. I wish they’d left him out.

        And the bugs.

Other than that, I liked Origins.

Arkham City was great, as well. And like you, I found it to be a better overall game. There was a much more epic feel to the game, whereas the first game felt more like an excuse plot.

Never played Arkham Knight, though what I heard about it made me think I wasn’t missing much.
