So, the East Coast had a snow day.

Personally, I was going to quibble about my kids having the day off until I went to go get the mail. The weather, frankly, was nasty; it was still kind of snowing and the wind was kind of vicious.  I didn’t enjoy being out there, and I’m actually fine with it being the only time I went outside at all today.

But they can go back to school tomorrow, ya, you betcha. Admittedly, there’s a two hour delay tomorrow, too, but surely that’s all that they’re getting.  Right?  Right. I’m sure of it…

  1. We’re shut down tomorrow, too. 10 inches or so here. There’s a good chance Monday’s out of the question too – the temperature is going to remain stubbornly below freezing until Monday afternoon.

The plows never make it to our neighborhood, so those few blocks to the main road are going to be sketchy.

  2. Ended up staying home after nearly sliding out of control on the way to work. Even I take hints when they are well applied.

  3. Windchill for tonight expected to be -30 below. Luckily the granddaughter won’t have school till Monday.
