Seriously, I don’t get what the fuss was. This can be heavy metal. More or less. Kinda. Not really. OK, sure, Metallica was robbed. Still.

Yes. I like this song too. But as you noted, it was not the song that beat Metallica. Not to mention the Metallica song in question was “One.” Which has to be in the top 5 of their songs and perhaps one of the most influential metal songs of all freaking time.
I will not forgive that slight. Anymore than I forgive Rolling Stone for snubbing Rush for over a decade until they were dragged kicking and screaming into reality.
