My obligatory realization that the Super Bowl is on tonight.

Ehh. It’s not the Giants, so I’m largely trying to keep myself from hoping that Philadelphia wins and thus cause Eagles fans to “become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and reveling in joy. Then the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom*.” Hopefully without any actual killing, but somebody will auto-darwinate himself tonight if the Eagles win. On the other hand, it’s not like Philly’s not going to go crazy if the Eagles lose, either.

And, on the gripping hand: I’m not watching the game anyway. No cable, remember? And, again, the Giants aren’t in the Super Bowl this year.

*I doubt that HPL would have liked football. Or soccer. He might have made time for baseball, though.

    1. Wow. You must lead a contentious existence up here. Of course, you’re in good company with my one now-insufferable Eagles fan buddy.

    1. I live in a dead zone when it comes to TV and cell phone signals. I personally blame the No Such Agency facility next door. Not that it’s really NSA of course. Nope. Not a chance.

  1. Eh.
I stopped caring last year, when the league refused to crack down on $_&+heads insulting our nation.

I hope something horrible happens to Goodell, but other than that…
