Patreon microfiction: ‘Bug Wars.’

Let us all be honest with each other folks: in the world of “Bug Wars,” we’re all watching the show and never missing an episode. We might as well, because the show’s going on anyway. Besides, serves the little buggers right for being the next sentient species on Earth — although they’ll end up being soul-swapped with the Great Race anyway, so maybe we’re not getting the short end of the stick after all.

Patreon! Come on, I wanna write more Bold Marauder serial pulp.

  1. I think you have something here. What if the humans figured out how to harness alien-equipped beetles for their own nefarious purposes? Or, what if the aliens decided to expand their war to include other arthropods? Eventually, these wars would come to impact humanity. Imagine Maine lobstermen having to learn how to disarm little torpedo launch tubes, or beekeepers having to work around hive defense mines…

I’m seeing movies, video games TV shows, lunch pails, action figures, flame throwers….

    1. I don’t have the money for it, but I so want a “Moe Lane” branded flamethrower. If it comes with a troll mask, all the better.

    2. Don’t forget the “The More You know” segments at the end so that parents think it’s Educatonal™.

Slug in battle armor(ok, a snail) inches towards a line of thin white powder to the cheers of his surrounding comrades. On contact, it writhes and dissolves into goo.
