OK, Aquaman now definitely looks like It Will Not Suck.

That’s a damn solid trailer, there.

If you had asked me if I wanted Jason Momoa to be Aquaman before Justice League, I would have… asked you who he was.  And after that, I would have probably at the very least raised an eyebrow.  But this is turning out to be a great role for him, and the take he has on the character is awesome.  The costume at the end is pretty impressive, too.

Definitely going to see this after it comes out.

  3. My wife has made sure I am aware of Jason Momoa since the Stargate: Atlantis days. For reasons. Which is fine, since one of the movies he was in also starred Gal Gadot.

    But, yeah, I would *never* have thought to cast him as Aquaman. But it might not be a bad movie, after all.

    1. I also have liked him since Atlantis. Er, Stargate, that is. It’s gonna be weird having him in two very different series about the same Mythical City.

      They did need to cast in a completely different direction. Anything I would have pictured before would have been tainted by the same Lame Aquaman trope. Momoa s the right kind of different.
