NaNoWriMo, Day 28: 1557/47557.

1,557/47,557.

A bit less than my usual 1.67K, but if I hit the same number today and tomorrow it’s 50K, easy.  Besides, I’m just filling in some blanks at this point.  More out of might-as-well-do-it-now than anything else.

  1. To be fair, the 50k is an arbitrary number. If the story’s done, I’d forgive you for not wanting to just pad.
    .
Of course many of us in the creative fields feel a project is never truly “done,” only “good enough for public consumption.

  2. I have not yet conceded defeat. I shall get my 50k, whatever the cost may be. I will write on the beaches, I will write on the landing grounds, I shall write in the fields and in the streets. I shall never, never surrender.

Until tomorrow at midnight. I’ll surrender then. Because there’s no point in doing a 30 day challenge past the 30th day.
