I find this droll.
Folks might remember the ‘controversy’ over Monopoly: Socialism, which is short for ‘somebody entertainingly lost their sh*t over its existence.’ After it blew up on Twitter, Hasbro withdrew the game… then waited for the whining to die down before Hasbro made the game available again.
And then I bought it, and not for the inflated prices it was selling for for a while, there. It’s unlikely to be removed again, of course. Which means that I get the game, Hasbro gets the money, and every socialist who ends up reading this later will get at least mildly pissed off at the way that I and Hasbro both won the game, thanks to the insidious glory of free market capitalism.
Here endeth the lesson.
