About halfway through the #SnyderCut.

I have to keep stopping because of school issues and stuff; I also suspect that my network REALLY doesn’t like HBOMax today. But I’m halfway through, and I am profoundly pissed* at Joss Whedon. It’s like he didn’t have the slightest clue how to work with Snyder’s material, notes, and general attitude. This version of JUSTICE LEAGUE is just light-years better, so far.

PS: It’s not perfect. Some of the voice-over work needed more takes, for example. But the people who called for the Snyder Cut are feeling pretty damned vindicated right now.

PPS: This movie is currently scoring better on Rotten Tomatoes than DCEU movies that got sequels as a matter of course.

*I am personally disgusted at him.

  1. Haven’t watched it yet but HBO streaming is empirically the worst streaming platform. 10 second delays from the moment you push pause till it actually does anything is just stupid and infuriating. And the bumping nose when you get to the end of scrolling a list? Maddening.

  2. It might be worth noting that the rating on Rotten Tomatoes is probably (currently) heavily weighted because the people watching this are almost certainly more sympathetic toward it than the general audiences that saw it in theaters. The more general crowds probably don’t care enough to have seen it yet (and/or get HBOMax).
