Pierce Brosnan to play Dr. Fate in BLACK ADAM.

I was wondering what had happened to him. Turns out he’ll be taking some of that sweet, sweet superhero cash: “In the first superhero foray of his career, Pierce Brosnan has nabbed the plum role of classic hero Dr. Fate opposite Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam, New Line’s action-adventure project featuring the DC Comics antihero.” This is gonna be no-fooling JSA action, in other words: they got Dr. Fate and Hawkman and a couple of superheroes I don’t remember because I stopped reading by then. It’s gonna be cool, though. Way cool. I’m confident of that.

  1. Oh, Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam is so perfect, too. The scenery-chewing will be *glorious*.

    1. That’s… really why I think it may not suck..

It will at least manage to be entertaining.

  2. I must object that the Bronson version of James Bond was, in fact, a superhero.

I’m curious to see what version of Dr. Fate they’re using. It could be brilliant casting, or an absolute waste if he can’t take the helmet off.
