The thing about that scene in First Contact… I guess the writers (and Patrick Stewart) want us to think Picard is off his nut and out for revenge.
And meanwhile I’m sitting in the theater thinking, “that’s the most sensible thing he’s said in 7 seasons of the show.”
Didn’t help that it was preceded by that “in my century, we have a more evolved sensibility” falderol.
