Shockingly, CYBERPUNK 2077 updates/DLC now delayed to 2022.

This is not actually shocking: “Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red announced last week that its Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions of the game had been delayed until 2022. On Thursday, the developer updated its development roadmap — first published in January — with a more detailed look at the delay, showing there are no more expected updates for 2021.” It’s almost November, after all. If they weren’t going to have big DLC for the game out by now, they weren’t going to be able to manage it by the end of the year.

And, honestly? That’s not bugging me. I played the game, I beat the game, and I can always play it again when they get around to giving me the DLC. Or if the modding community takes off. Modding is why I still play Fallout 4, after all. And if it doesn’t happen… meh. I got my money’s worth already.

  1. Quite a few mods out there already for Cyberpunk if you like your breasts large and your hair bright, moe. The others are a lot of game fixes.

One fix I’ll note from when I was playing: I do really like the skill system in this game (the attribute system is another story, but the general idea behind a point combined with an on use skill system is pretty compelling.) However, when I was playing around with builds for playthroughs several months back, I was thinking of a cool/strength build for a knife throwing strongman (assuming the 18 in tech needed for legendary iconic upgrades.) Only problem: knife throwing does not work real well in the base game. You lose the knives. So if you power up that iconic throwing knife, get the perk for stealth throwing, throw the knife- and it is gone forever. It does not even end up in the dead man’s inventory. A mod fixes this. One of these days I will get around to downloading it.
