2/10/22 Snippet, THE THING IN THE AIRLOCK.

Revisions on the fly!

Tobias looked down at his datalink. It was hard to tell at this low a rez, but the image of Domaine looked like he was really thinking about it. “Spies would surely keep records,” Domaine said. “Did she write anything down?”

“Thought of that, but there was nothing scribed on the walls,” Tobias replied.

“Nothing saved to wall memory, either.”

“All right, but I meant writing. Physical writing.”

Tobias blinked. “What, you mean on actual paper? That stuff’s on short supply on the moon. There was always something else worth more to bring up from the gravity well.”

But as he thought about it, Tobias could see the attraction paper would have for a spy. Can’t be hacked, easy to destroy, won’t show up on most counter-espionage scans — heck, it doesn’t even need a power source. “Right, so I’m looking for a book or a folder, then?” He looked around the room, which had plenty of physical hiding places to look in. “This could take some time.”
