Oh, hey, a FLASH movie.

Coming out in 2022. That’s pretty much it, except that it’s Ezra Miller from JUSTICE LEAGUE as Barry Allen. I’m… down with that, I think. It is one of the aggravating things about the DCEU movies that I liked the individual superhero actors just fine, and that included Miller. As long as we don’t have to have a stupid origin story (dude’s fast. There you go), I figure that they can make a decent movie out of the Flash’s struggle to figure out what the hell he’s supposed to do with all this speed, anyway.

Honestly, they’re doing a better job with the standalone flicks anyway.

Marvel TV taken over by Marvel Studios.

It was… inevitable.

Marvel Television has a new home.

The TV arm of Marvel Entertainment is being folded into the Marvel Studios group. Current development — Hulu’s slate of animated comedies and live-action drama Helstrom — will remain on course. However, no further development will come from the unit overseen by Jeph Loeb. The exec, who launched Marvel into live-action scripted TV originals as head of Marvel Television, will remain on board during the transition. It is unclear when Loeb’s last day will be. His departure from Marvel has been expected since late October.

The final 6 UNDERGROUND trailer.

I think that we were already all aware that I will be watching 6 UNDERGROUND on Friday.

Michael Bay doing an action spy flick starring Ryan Reynolds and it’s on Netflix: yeah, that’s gonna get my attention. I like the premise, too. It’s what Wade Wilson would be doing if he didn’t have cancer and was actually Bruce Wayne. …Well, kinda. You know what I mean.

The WONDER WOMAN 1984 trailer.

Got told about this in comments by Constant Reader Aetius451AD. Anyway: interesting. You’ll see why once you watch the trailer. Ach, well, it happens all the dang time in the comic books, too.

Otherwise: heh. I remember 1984: I was a teenager then. Guess they’re aiming at my demographic? If so, I don’t mind. Looks pretty good as a trailer, but I already knew that I was going to see WONDER WOMAN 84 anyway. It’s pretty much a destiny thing.

The ‘All right, Ryan Reynolds. I get the point’ FREE GUY trailer.

Ryan Reynolds has seen a niche, and he has swiftly moved to ruthlessly claim it. I am all right with this; and for the most selfish of reasons, too. I’m always down to see a movie like FREE GUY:

I mean, that’s not so much aimed at my demographic as I’ve been outfitted with a homing beacon that this movie has locked onto. Hell, now I want to play the game that the movie is based on. Yeah, I know, it doesn’t exist. I wanna play it anyway.

Quote of the Day, Proxy Mandalorian Spoilers-A-Go-Go edition.

This is an insightful point (ware spoilers at the link):

This episode is proof that [Jon] Favreau and [Dave] Filoni did what every boy in the ’70s and ’80s did, played a lot of Star Wars in their backyard sandbox. It’s a whose who of cool, but underutilized Star Wars action figures made real.

[snip]

These two and their collaborators on this show, are the luckiest guys and gals in Hollywood right now. They’re making the show that millions of kids dreamed about as they played with their sun faded action figures in the backyard.
