‘The Road Goes On Forever.’

This was suggested; it’s good; and I can’t in good conscience say that the people in that song made good life choices.

‘Girl from the North Country.’

Actually, I need suggestions. What are the iconic 1980s Country and Western songs?

‘Owner of a Lonely Heart.’

This video is probably even weirder than you remember it being.

Going to the circus tomorrow!

Well… the Smithsonian Folklore Festival. They’re doing Circus Arts this year. No elephants or tigers or whatnot, but plenty of acrobats and so forth. The family hasn’t been to this in years; the weather’s going to be beautiful, and I’m looking forward to it.  Although I can’t quite figure out what kind of music CDs will be available (I’m a sucker for Smithsonian folk music collections)…

“Spiderman.”

Just realized that the use of the previous song in Spider-man: Homecoming was likely a homage to this one.  Huh.

65,000 fans gather to do Queen karaoke. And, oh yeah, listen to Green Day live.

This video of sixty five thousand people singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody* is awesome.  And also kind of humiliating for Green Day, because I don’t think that people are going to gather forty years from now to belt out ‘American Idiot’ or ‘Basket Case.’  No, wait, that doesn’t make it any less awesome**.

‘Wild Thing.’

…Are we just pretending not to notice that this is the same melody as Funky Cold Medina?  I mean, I don’t mind.  Man’s gotta earn a living, after all.
