Patreon Microfiction: ‘Let Us Know When You’re Done.’

You know how you can walk into something, then have a lot of crap suddenly come down and suddenly people are screaming at each other, and you don’t know why? And then a big dude comes up to you, and lets you know that now is not a good time? And then politely suggests that you stand not on the order of your coming, but go at once?

Yeah, that’s humanity in ‘Let Us Know When You’re Done.’ Some doors you close again right away.

Patreon!

I’m thinking about revamping my Patreon.

It’s pretty static at the moment, with the trend down over the last year. Judging from the exit surveys, that’s primarily because of the economy, but it’s still a bit of a problem. The Patreon does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to generating cash to publish the books, so I still need to do something about the situation.

The trick is figuring out what. I’m highly reluctant to slap on tiers besides the $1 one, and the current situation of weekly microfiction and monthly short stories / gaming material is certainly sustainable on my end. I just don’t really know what else I can do. Thoughts welcome.

Patreon Microfiction: Yes, It’s Messy.

“Yes, It’s Messy” is a perfectly accurate description of what happens when a Void finds some extra-dimensional matter to absorb. Although possibly not a horrific enough one. The worst part is when the Void needs only about, say, a pound of flesh…

The November Patreon stuff is up!

Getting that short story out was like pulling teeth. I mean, it’s been in my damn hard drive for years. I just needed enough spite and aggravation to finally finish it.

  • Short Story: Walk Away. Because “Thus Do I Refute Omelas” as a title was possibly just a little too on the nose. I knew going in that you’re not supposed to write polemics, only I decided that I just didn’t give a damn.
  • RPG Material: Hex Nation, Part 3b: Shattered Mexico. I actually didn’t consider the balance there until I sat down to write it, but I think it works fairly well.

Onward to December!
