Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea (Episode 2) out March 25th.

It’s apparently more stealth-oriented, which I am not going to enjoy.  Still.  Woo-who!  You can get it through the Season Pass, if you haven’t already bought that.

After the fold is a preview video of the game.  THERE ARE SPOILERS; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

So, I finished Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea (Part I) today (no spoilers).

My reaction to it: well, Rapture itself was gorgeous, the game play was a bit more challenging, and… I’m not really getting why Elizabeth did what she did. DLC add-ons have an unhappy history of muddying the original game message, but I was hoping that the Bioshock team would have a better handle on that problem.  Then again, I’m only halfway through the actual DLC: hopefully, Part II will address my issues.

Geez, why didn’t anybody tell me Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea was out?

I was expecting to see news of it in Steam’s DLC section, not the news.

Anyway, time to go play it a little. Nah, I’m not going to disappear, but I need to get my BioShock Infinite muscle memory back.

…So. NOW what?

I need a new video game to tide me over until the next BioShock Infinite DLC.  Although I should reinstall Singularity (I was just far enough along with it to make retracing the whole thing daunting).

Well, Bioshock Infinite made sense AT THE TIME…

Kind of spoilerish. And, yeah, it was kind of complicated.

Although Cracked.com should have brought up all the effing Commies. (more…)

Dang, but Bioshock Infinite was fun.

Just finished it.

Didn’t have a problem with the ending, didn’t have a problem with the politics overall, do think that they only didn’t put in a particular sound at the end because that way the people who like horrible endings can still have their horrible ending, will probably not play the game again until the DLC comes out – because hoo boy but that was intense.

All in all, an excellent birthday present.  Thanks for buying it for me!

Wine, and Bioshock Infinite.

Just… not at the same time. Contraindicated.

Hey, time for a frivolous birthday pledge drive!

Got a good one, this year: I just found out that BioShock Infinite is NOT a MMORPG, which means that I can play it!  Happy!

…It’s sixty bucks.  Sad!

I should pledge drive that.  Sneaky!

…People have been looking daggers at some of the possible ideological biases*. Obstacle! (more…)
