OK. Very quickly: this is a short video about the California Condor.
To summarize said video: they are an incredibly endangered species of bird whose ugliness on the ground and up close is easily matched by their beauty in the sky. And I mean incredibly endangered: there are about 300 of them left*. This is… this is one of the birds that the environmentalists are trying to keep alive, all right? As in, some of the more radical ones are prepared to lose fingers if that’s what it’d take. And I’m not criticizing! I don’t mind making a little room for the damn condors! The Greenies can win this one!
