Everybody have a good Easter weekend.

Because I am pretty much taking off today and tomorrow, too.  I got a couple of deadlines for the Patreon that have to be filled, but other than that I am checked out. But I hope everybody has a joyous and pleasant Easter.

He is Risen.

This is easily my favorite telling of the Easter story.

…It really is a nice morning, here on the East Coast.

If you’re reading this and you’re in church, put away your phone.  If you’re reading this and you’re not in church, go outside and have a nice little walk or something. Get some fresh air, soak up a little sun, you know the drill.

:waving hands: Go! Shoo. Get your kids dressed and throw around a Frisbee, or something.

Happy Easter!

John 20, verses 11 to 18:

11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.

13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”

“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”

Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

Always my favorite of the Gospel accounts.

Back from vacation.

Hershey Park, in case it wasn’t obvious from my Twitter feed. Nice vacation – the children behaved! It’s almost as if they’re growing older and more civilized, or something – but I’m glad it’s done. Regular posting returns tomorrow.

Also: Happy Easter, for those who celebrate it.

Time for a night at the opera.

Catch up with all y’all as circumstances dictate; in the meantime, Happy Easter.

Come, I will conceal nothing from you…

…the family is in the midst of vacation time prep. Which means that I am rapidly approaching vacation mode. Actually, I’m kind of there already. So posting is going to be spotty, at best.

Enjoy your Easter weekend, of course. But, really, it’s getting pretty nice out. Maybe some fresh air?

Happy Easter!

…no smartass videos or funny links.

Just, “Happy Easter.” It’s a nice day out down here: go and get some fresh air.
