Mind you, it is electric — Sprave’s taken a power drill and is using it to power the rack and pinion mechanism that recocks the crossbow — but it’s still gorgeous. Heck, it’s understandable. Watch this a few times, and you really get how the mechanism works.
Seriously: this is why the single most powerful spell in GURPS is Dancing Object (used to be called Air Golem). You can use it to fuel an entire Industrial Revolution. …But I am getting far afield, here. Suffice it to say that Joerg Sprave really has a gift for this stuff.
