In the Mail: The Night’s Black Agents Director’s Screen / Resource Guide.

All hail birthday money!

I picked up a couple of other things, too, but the Night’s Black Agents Director’s Screen / Resource Guide showed up first. I’m thinking of running NBA at a con, one of these days: I have to skip WashingCon this year, but there will be others. I want to run an actual Carnival of gore and betrayal, with literal bridges burned, so I guess it’ll be in… Venice? I could make that work, I think.

In the Mail: Black Chamber.

Just in the proverbial nick of time, too. Something like 7:58 PM Eastern time.  I had Black Chamber and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Vol. 8: My Best Friend’s Squirrel coming in the same shipment, and I would not have been amused if they had come actually late. I was not amused that they didn’t show up this morning, honestly. …God, we are all so spoiled by modern society, aren’t we?  “How DARE they take until evening to get a book delivered to my door the day it was published! How DARE they, given the discounted price of the book and the shipping I didn’t have to pay!”  It was very silly of me to be annoyed, honestly. I’ve got it good, after all.

In the Mail: Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Imaginarium!

Exclamation point because I didn’t order Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Imaginarium: somebody must have seen it on my wish list.  Whoever it was, thank you!  I sat down and read it right away, and it was a pleasure to read.  I very much liked getting this.

If you can secure your own copy, by the way, do so: it is full of fun references for Terry Pratchett fans. Including references to characters that are perhaps a bit obscure.  Which is all part of the appeal.

PS: Thanks again.
