From an interesting Claremont essay on Malcolm X: specifically, on the dishonorable tendency of some black separatists to find common cause with white racists on a practical level.

When slaveocrats start distributing abolitionist literature, someone has the wrong approach—so too when Klansmen and Nazis salute you as brothers in arms.

I wonder how Malcolm X would have turned out if the Nation of Islam hadn’t assassinated him.  Probably not perfectly; possibly not even well.  But almost certainly better than he had been.
