In my defense, 2K words is a lot. Also, it was the day after Halloween*, which meant trying not to shiver because it suddenly got cold around here. I’ve gotten used to Maryland November weather, and it’s usually still warm for another week or two.

Oh, well. At least I can tell myself I didn’t waste the day.

*And the first day of the month. I always have deadlines the day before.

If for no other reason than it helped keep a very useful skill set nicely honed.  It also didn’t hurt that – all false modesty aside – I was pretty good at it.
