I may be scheduling some playtest sessions in August.

WashingCon is coming up, and it looks like I will be doing at least one game (the Dragon Age RPG), and quite possibly another (Timewatch) if I can talk myself into running myself doubly ragged. Which I may very well do, if only to get myself out of the house for the full weekend. Gotta think about it; but if I do run a couple of games I’m going to want to do an online playtest first, to make sure that it works in a four hour chunk.  I’ll remind folks about it as we get closer to September, but if you’re DC-area and want to get in on a game, well, WashingCon is also (and primarily) a highly impressive board game convention. Some of all y’all might be down with that.

Welp. Got the Fall of Delta Green playtest feedback report out.

In case you were wondering what I was doing today.  End of month is always fun, isn’t it?  Particularly when you’re facing those subtly oh-that’s-easy deadlines that suddenly sprout teeth and start staring at your trachea.  Whee!

Still, this is how the industry advances.  We all must do our part, yes?  Yes.

Moe Lane

PS: Thanks again to everybody who played.

Had a scheduling issue tonight, if anybody’s wondering…

…why the comic page hasn’t updated. I had to reschedule last night’s Fall of Delta Green playtest for tonight.  Got some good data out of it, too. Always playtest, folks. Always playtest.

Second call for Fall of Delta Green playtesters, this Saturday night.

8 PM Eastern time, this Saturday; we’ll be doing it via Google Hangouts. No prior experience with GUMSHOE or Cthulhu required, but bear in mind that it’s a horror game.  You’ll be provided with characters, one-page summaries of how to roll and whatnot, and playtest copies of the rules.  GUMSHOE uses six-sided dice, so make sure you have some.

Usual contact techniques: here, on Twitter (@ogiel23), or moe-at-moelane-dot-com.  Those of you who have already signed up should get an email from me tomorrow.

Call for playtesters for Fall of Delta Green (second play-through).

This one will be for next weekend: Friday or Saturday night, whichever one I can get players for.  8 PM Eastern time, probably a three hour session.  I ran it once already last weekend – all hail Constant Readers Brian Swisher and nicklevi86 for participating – and I’d like to get at least one more session in before the March 31st deadline.  I will supply character sheets and cheat sheets: people unfamiliar with GUMSHOE rules are welcome. It is a horror game, so fair warning there.

Contact me via comments here, on Twitter, my Contact link, or at moe-at-moelane-dot-com.

Last call for Fall of Delta Green playtest tonight.

If you’re interested, drop me a line in comments, Twitter me (@Ogiel23), use the contact email, or whatever else.  Starts at 8 PM Eastern, no previous knowledge of Delta Green or Call of Cthulhu or GUMSHOE needed. It’s a playtest: we’re kicking the tires and seeing how the adventure runs. No pressure.

Another call for playtesters for Fall of Delta Green adventure (3/4/2017).

I have plenty of spots available, so if you’re interested, let me know in comments and/or via moe-at-moelane-dot-com. It will be tomorrow night (Eastern time), via Google Hangout, and all characters and whatnot will be provided.  Fall of Delta Green uses GUMSHOE, but no knowledge of that game system is required.

Moe Lane

PS: I plan to run at least two different playtest sessions, so if you can’t make this one, let me know when you can do it and I’ll see what I can do.

I may be looking for some In Nomine players.

Not for me, personally: but a buddy of mine is putting together an adventure and I said that I could run an online playtest. I’ll need people who are familiar with In Nomine for that one, though. And it will NOT happen before Washingcon. But if doing an online adventure playtest sounds interesting, drop me a line in comments and whatnot.

Looks like my BubbleGUMSHOE game playtest went well…

…I’m feeling good about the basic concept for the Bubblegumshoe con game and now I have a useful baseline for how long each individual part of it will run. The players all seemed to have a good time, too, which is of course the most important part of it. I had fun myself, but dear Lord but this stuff is enervating. Gonna load up the dishwasher and go to sleep.

Got the alpha playtest rules for the new Delta Green!

Part of the Kickstarter rewards for their Delta Green: Tales from Failed Anatomies book.  Now all I have to do is find a few people to kick said rules in the side a few times, see if anything comes loose…
