I have a plan.

Basically, it involves the following steps:

  • Reminding myself that this weekend is a silly time to try to sell books;
  • Reminding myself that this weekend is a silly time to try to do schedules for next year;
  • Going to the kitchen to pour myself a whiskey and soda;
  • Adding some of the homemade aromatics my wife made for the fun of it;
  • Finding the Thin Mints;
  • and Firing up Rebel Moon.

To quote the philosopher: I love this plan. I’m excited to be a part of it.

REBEL MOON has only a limited theatrical run before it hits Netflix. …I may try to catch it anyway. This looks like it’s got places to be.

Variety reports REBEL MOON as a “sci-fi saga being created for Netflix that has a definite “Seven Samurai,” Akira Kurosawa vibe to it and actually began life as a grand pitch for a “Star Wars“-based feature nearly a decade ago prior to Disney swallowing up Lucasfilm in 2012.”

Works for me. Obviously, I’m a fan of Snyder’s work. And I’m down with, shockingly. even a half-new science fiction IP. No sense doing the same thing over and over again (he says, as he readies the Kickstarter for the book sequel to FROZEN DREAMS)…
