In the …queue? … “Stalin’s Hammer: Rome.”

It’s a novella set in John Birmingham’s Axis of Time world (short version: a bad time travel accident sends back a multinational naval task force back to 1942, much to pretty much everybody’s displeasure and nobody’s real satisfaction). It’s set in that timeline’s 1950s Rome, which is divided up much as Berlin and Germany was in our timeline. So far, so good.

…And that’s pretty much it for the evening for me: it’s been an aggravating if eventually productive day, and I don’t react well physically to too much dust.
