Picked up Dan Simmons’ The Terror a couple of days ago, and am still reading it. The tone and action is pretty good, and pretty historical! And there was a refreshing lack of teasing the existence of the monster, at least. I have no idea what it is, yet, but I assume that I will by the end.

In the e-Mail: The Terror.
There’s a TV show adapted from Dan Simmons’ The Terror available on Amazon Prime, and when I saw that it was a supernatural horror retelling of the ill-fated Franklin Arctic expedition I was definitely interested. I kind of want to combine that expedition with Frankenstein in some way, so I decided to grab the book. It’s not the same thing, but I figure that I’ll know enough about events to do some proper research on the subject. Besides, the book’s apparently really good.
