OK. The new Mummy looks like it could be a thing. I wasn’t expecting where they’re going with Cruise’s character, which is also nice. Changing stuff up a little is good.

You know something? I’m going to allow it.
If for no other reason than Russell Crowe is in it as Dr. Jekyll, which means that at some point in this series he’s going to go literally Mr. Hyde on somebody, and I’m kind of looking forward to that. I had a heck of a good time watching Russell Crowe in The Nice Guys, after all. And I’m admittedly also kind of looking forward to seeing them go the full Universal Monsters route. It’s been eighty years since they made those flicks, after all. That’s enough time, surely.
