Tweet of the Day, You WILL Be Made To Buy Disney+ And Hulu edition.

Disney+ for the cute stuff, Hulu for the edgy stuff. Yeah: Disney now has a majority interest in Hulu. Welcome to the 21st century! Turns megacorps are gonna be a thing, after all.

It’s gonna happen, man. — Sayeth the guy with a blog and no film industry connections. But, seriously, obvious ploy is obvious, no?

Tweet of the Day, Was The Bear Wearing A Hat? edition

You can always trust a bear wearing a hat.

This is actually close to a no-fooling rule of thumb for me. If bears ever achieve sapience, they would be well advised to get a variety of hats and start wearing them while ostentatiously not eating people’s faces. Boom! Instant societal acceptance. Because who wouldn’t to be buddies with a nine foot ursine with a hat who won’t eat your face?

I feel that my logic is sound.

Tweet of the Day, My Wife Approves edition.

She’s the one who speaks Old English in the family*.

Only, now I want a proper NY/NJ slice.

Tweet of the Day, Disney Does What Needs Doing In Mary Poppins edition.

Mad respect, as the kids say.

Shouldn’t surprise me that Disney managed this.  They are, after all, Disney.  They’ve been making fantasy movies for decades, and what they didn’t develop in-house they bought, often with the original studios intact.  There’s institutional knowledge there, is what I’m saying.

Tweet of the Day, Don’t Do This, Dammit edition.

This is just dumb.

More to the point, it’s dumb that puts people who are not being dumb at risk.  I have to drive on the same road with you.  So don’t try to drive with your eyes closed; you will be, by definition, Doing It Wrong.

Tweet of the Day, Except It’s Actually Just Something Fascinating I Read edition.

There are, like, wars being fought out there in the art world, man.  Wars beyond your, or my, comprehension.  And they’re bitter ones, too.

Tweet of the Day, This Gets Them Both Right edition.

Honestly, this is how I like to see both Superman AND Batman portrayed.

Tweet of the Day, I Can’t Make These, Dammit edition.

Half of the ingredients are on my wife’s Not Allowed To Eat list.  Merely showing her the recipe would be cruel.  Seriously, I’m not even going to mention it to her.

Tweet thread of the Day, That Wasn’t C.S. Lewis’s Point, Dagnabbit edition.

@KatinOxford has had it with simplistic complaints about Susan Pevensie and The Last Battle.  Absolutely had it.  So she brought the thunder.

She brought it so hard that almost nobody’s dared to argue back.  Not that they should, because her argument is so self-evidently correct it’d almost be silly to try.
