RS Interview: Wes Riddle (R CAND, TX-25 PRI RUNOFF)

TX-25 is a new district, thanks largely to Texas’s phenomenal population growth over the last ten years; and it’s got a late primary, thanks largely to the Left’s quite bitter (and largely futile) attempts to force the state to do things that… actually, it doesn’t really matter what you try  to force Texas to do.  The populace tends to take the position that if they wanted to do it in the first place, they’d have done it.  Anyway: there’s a runoff in TX-25, on July 31st and we talked to Lt. Col. Wes Riddle (who is one of the candidates in it).

#rsrh My personal recommendations for the TX Primaries.

The primary is today in Texas, and as the title says: I have some suggestions for you.  I’m putting them here because although I do not expect that RedState would particularly object to the first two, I am in point of fact making a recommendation in a Democratic primary, and RS has a policy of not helping out liberal Democrats unless we really, really need to.

RS Interview: Michael Williams (R CAND, TX-…25?)

Sorry about the sound quality: we’re in the middle of a solar storm today, remember?  At any rate, I talked this afternoon with Michael Williams, who is running in TX-25, assuming of course that the courts d0n’t decide to fold up the new Congressional maps for Texas into a variety of paper airplanes and fly them out of the window.  The short version is: the maps are being contested, a lower court stepped in to get something up and running, the Supreme Court stepped in to smack down said lower court, and now people are kind of worried that the primaries are going to be delayed yet again.  As you might have guessed, we talked a bit on the redistricting controversy down there; Michael even took the time to gently correct me on a couple of things that I was getting wrong…

RedState Gathering: Dr. Donna Campbell (R CAND, TX-25).

We had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Donna Campbell at the RedState Gathering. Dr. Campbell is running against Lloyd Doggett in the 25th district: Doggett, of course, is a favorite of the radical antiwar Left for his extensive and consistent anti-military voting record. Nasty piece of work, all in all, so it was nice to talk with his challenger:

One of hopefully many scenes from the August Health Care Rationing Grassroots Feedback Seminars.

Not one of my videos, but it should warm your heart. Via Instapundit, I present to you this delightful exercise where Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D, TX) gets some feedback from his constituents on health care rationing.

By the way, do you know how Republican TX-25 is?

It’s not. D+6. Doggett was apparently not expecting this level of mentoring from his employers.

PS: Looks fun, doesn’t it?
